Beach Holidays: Master the Tides with This iPhone App
If you're spending time at the beach or somewhere near the sea this summer, here's some helpful information to help you plan your swimming and/or water sports sessions. This also applies if you live on the coast year-round!
Whether you live near the sea all year round or only during the holidays, there are two things you like to check in the morning. The first is the weather, of course. See this file dedicated to iOS weather apps . The second is the tide . More precisely, it's about knowing the times when the sea is highest and lowest. This information is essential, whether you're planning a day at the beach or practicing a water sport. The same goes for planning a boat trip or a fishing activity. And of course, there's an app to find out everything you need to know about it: marée.info .
The tide bible in your pocket
The app therefore indicates the times of high tide and low tide during the day. It is possible to favorite certain locations to find them more easily later.
It should be noted that the app, also available in the Essential version , focuses on tide times for the day up to the next 3 days. The classic marée.info app, on the other hand, only shows the tides for the same day. However, it provides additional details, including tidal coefficients and their tidal range. The tidal range is the difference between low water level and the next high water level.

The two apps complement each other well, with several dozen ports listed in France, but also in Belgium and the English islands near Normandy. The predictions and information are taken from official data from the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Navy . This data is paid for, hence the need to subscribe to the service to have additional information, such as a forecast beyond 3 days.
So, to simply find out the tide times near your home or vacation spot, for the same day and for the next 3 days, the Basic version of the marée.info app is perfect for you. There's no need to subscribe if this information is sufficient for you.
